XVII•OCTOBRE•MDCCCV / CAPITULATION / D'ULM•DE MEMMINGEN/ LX MILLE•PRISONNIERS Napoléon in imperial Roman attire driving biga to right, being crowned by Victory flying left, holding palm frond and wreath; below, figures of Ulm and Memmingen kneeling left, raising hands in supplication. Bramsen 433. Essling 1084. Julius 1416. Nau 234. Zeitz -, cf. 56 (in bronze). Beautiful iridescent toning. Tiny marks and edge nicks, otherwise, virtually as struck.
